Held annually on the first Sunday of March once a year
"Hozugawa Day"

Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, actively engaged in environmental protection activities
Through our connection established by the "Zero Waste Movement" to eliminate trash,
DESIGN WORKS ANCIENT also participated in the cleanup activity.

Led by the boatmen of the Hozugawa River Boat Ride,
we cleaned the area around Hozubashi Bridge.

When the water level rises, trash washes up everywhere,
especially along the riverbanks, which seem to collect a variety of items,
such as plastic tanks, bicycle handlebars, rubber boots, and dishes.

I wondered how these items ended up as trash.

It was an event that made me reflect on
how we can start by reducing waste.
